OC Fair, LA County Fair & Upcoming Greater Palm Springs Events
Each year, my husband and I do our best to make it out to the fair--whether that be the Riverside County Fair that takes place every February in Indio, CA, or an out-of-town fair that happens in the summer and fall months of Southern California.
I guess the reason for this is because going to the fair reminds us of our childhoods. Of simpler times, really.
I know, a bit nostalgic--but in short, visiting the fair symbolizes spending quality time with our families, and all the fun moments we had while there as children. It is also a reminder of us in our younger years–-a true reminiscence of our young love and the time that we took to get to know each other at one of our favorite, yearly events.
All in all, going to the fair brings us back to fond memories of getting together and watching hilarious hypnosis shows, walking around to the different shops and vendors, taking silly photos in the photo booths, feeding the animals in the petting zoo, going through the mazes and fun houses, and of course eating considerable amounts of unhealthy, yet delicious carnival food.
And because of these reasons, we love going to the fair!
This year, we decided to make a trip to Orange County and visit the OC Fair in Costa Mesa, CA. The fair went on from July 14-August 13, 2017, and although the fair is over now, here’s a recap of our day, along with all the yummy foods we tried, the shows we watched, and the attractions that were available.
